Amphenol QMA connector
The QMA connector is a quick disconnect version of the SMA connector and shares the same internal construction, which allows the connector to have excellent performance.

The electrical performance benefits of the QMA include low loss RF performance up to 6 GHz. Because of the innovative coupling mechanism, a 360-degree butt joint is maintained which results in low RF leakage. Since the RF line is identical to the SMA series, the QMA connectors also offer the same high power handling capability. This gives the series significant advantages over other quick disconnect connectors.
Mechanically the QMA series offers a more convenient installation than SMA connectors. Because the interface mates with a snap-on instead of a threaded coupling, there is a significant time advantage. Typically, these connectors can be installed into a system 10 times faster than an SMA connector.

KEMET Flex Crack Mitigation Solutions
With design advances in multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC), has come a new challenge for the design
engineer, and that has been a Low IR or short circuit situation due to small cracks close to the end terminations
of the ceramic capacitor. This is attributed to board flexing, however, board Flex cannot be eliminated by the
Capacitor manufacturers. KEMET has taken steps to develop a product portfolio that offers the engineer a
number of different reliability solutions, should the problem occur. The KEMET Flex mitigation portfolio, consists of 4 solutions which are Floating Electrode - FE Cap, Open Mode - Fail Open, Flex Term - FT Cap, Floating, Electrode and Flex Term - FF Cap.

FCI Launches Low-Profile FPC ZIF Connector for Small Consumer Electronics
FCI has developed a 0.3mm-pitch, low-profile FPC ZIF connector ideal for mobile phone, digital still and video cameras, and display applications. Designated the YLL Series, the connector is available in two versions—the D-Series with down-side contacts and the U-Series with upper-side contacts.
“This product is one of the lowest profile 0.3mm contact space connectors available, making it ideal for applications where space is at a premium,” said Sean Riley, Market Manager with FCI.
The YLL-D provides 0.3mm spacing, 13 to 45 down-side contact positions, and a maximum height of 1.0mm.
The YLL-U provides 0.3mm spacing, 13 to 45 upper-side contact positions, and a maximum height of 1.05mm.
Both versions have a front flip-type actuator for easy, error free cable insertion. This series also features high cable retention to insure the cable stays in place in demanding applications.
